POS: new checkout screen and friction-free receipt printing

After every charge, the POS now shows large icon buttons, a preview of the real receipt, and a single print button that comes out on the configured paper and closes its tab when done.

At a counter, every second after the charge counts: the customer is waiting for their receipt and the queue doesn't stop. That's why we've completely redesigned what happens in MyFixio's POS right after a charge is confirmed. The new screen shows the assigned receipt number and every action as large buttons with coloured icons, easy to tap in a hurry even on a touch screen — and below them, the receipt exactly as it will come out of the printer: your logo, your business details, the configured paper width, the header and footer text, and the tax breakdown.

What changes when you charge

1

Large icon buttons

Print receipt (blue), send by email (violet), send by WhatsApp (green) and new sale: square actions with the icon above the text, built for touch.

2

Preview of the real receipt

Below the buttons you see the receipt with the sale's real data and the configured format, identical to what will be printed — any misconfigured detail is spotted before handing it over.

3

One single print button

No more choosing between "print" and "thermal print": a single button uses your configured printer type (thermal or impact), paper width and copies.

4

The tab closes itself

Printing opens in a minimal tab, without loading the rest of the app, launches the print dialogue and closes automatically when done — whether you print or cancel.

The browser's print dialogue now directly proposes paper of the exact width you configured (58, 80, 57, 76 or 110 mm, or a custom one) and just as tall as the receipt, instead of an A4 sheet with a tiny receipt in one corner. With multiple copies, each one comes out as an independent page of the same size, ready for the printer's cutter to separate them.

Automatic paper cutting isn't commanded by the app: the printer executes it according to its driver (on Epson, the "Feed and Cut" option; on Star, "Cut Type"). We've documented where to enable it, the difference between full and partial cut, and what to do if it doesn't cut, in the POS guide.

On top of that, payment methods now adapt to your business country: Bizum, which only exists in Spanish banking, is offered exclusively to organisations in Spain. All of this is already available on every plan with the POS enabled, with nothing new to configure.
